My Awana Workman

2 Timothy 2:15

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

Awana is a youth/children's Bible study our church hosts on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm. It's a global? program designed to teach young people the Word of God through memorization, games and discussion. They not only learn the verse, but also what it means and how to live it and explain it to others. It's a great group.

Drake has learned John 3:16 since we started this year, in slow steady increments each week. He always has a great time, but he's not much for being in the spotlight (still). Here he is ready for this week's class in his new Sparks vest (Awana has levels divided by age group). Last year he was a Cubbie, in a blue vest.

Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, from the Timothy verse above.
